A modern day nightmare?
you don't need to use it
I leave mine blank as I can never work it out these days.
on these type of sites. I never am.
i did this for a while, but silly friends kept saying "omg - who are you going out with?"
i like putting "divorced" or "widowed", though.
Just say you are married to a Scottish barmaid you met at a festival. Works for me.
SHE'S MY FUTURE WIFE DAMN YOU
No I'm not
I knew I couldn't trust you.
Ok then, I am married. Happy?
What you looking for: Whatever I can get
Flood of messages saying 'you can't change your status to nothing, that doesn't tell us anything'.
makes it look like you're in a relationship when it appears.
My cousin brought this up when I went home last weekend, prompting everyone to ask who she is, even though there is no-one.
Facebook creates neurotic problems, or exposes them, it's evil.
when i changed it around so it didn't show anything at all - i got a bunch of people messaging and texting me about me new lass and who she was. In reality I was still number one singleton, only now in private.
following an argument over washing up, it felt like the whole world was looking on with baited breath, i almost had to go into therapy for the stress it all caused.
No-one with any sense cares
really bad when you break up too - how soon is not rejoicing in the fact that you got out of the last relationship?
and then the targeted advertising you get for singles sites, aargh!
hehehe. i remember noticing that on myspace, when i changed my status to single a few years back. suddenly my page was covered with women in swimwear :(
I got this too- "meet hot women at mate one!" I had a brief look, they could have definitely been sued under trade descriptions.
while "In a Relationship"
then people notice on their newsfeed :(
then when they go to your page it is not there so what's the problem?
i hid it from my news feed right away, and people still messaged me.
i think they subscribe to email updates or something, the nosey bastards.
I had to discuss with a friend how to tactfully tell her I was going to change my facebook status back to single. It was harder than actually breaking up with her.
And the the little cracked heart comes up on the screen to remind you just how evil you really are.
Thanks for reminding me. :'(
