this may not be the exact quote but it had me in tears on friday night.i LOVE superhans
And went for "a massive twat" instead
i was watching videos of just his quotes on youtube last night.
" what the FUCKS a washing machine doing in a pub?"! i need a drink"
they have ruined Johnson now. He was great in the first two series.
If it was actually funny.
What I've seen of it makes me feel like I've woken up next to a dead graham norton with no memory of the night before.
Or am I taking it too seriously?
but superhans is still as funny
I agree totally. But all sitcoms have a limited shelf life: even Seinfeld got a bit shit towards the end.
just laugh and keep quoting and everything will be forgotton, OK?
"making a porno with a real story" line to his mum, which is taken from the first episode of the first series.
CREATIVE WRITING FAIL
Hearing the slapbass in 1993 put me off in episode one
not every sitcom can live up to the highwater mark set by On the buses.
As a comedy historian (really I love 80% comedy) I'm finding it a real struggle to emphasis or even like one single comedy since 2001. Seriously this is really really worrying me why everything is leaving me cold.
I've just had lunch, sorry
as now been part of my daily vocab since it was aired.
that last one, but this series has been a bit disappointing.
And then Mitchell and Webb should never be allowed to do anything else because it'll be shit. I can't imagine what their sitcom is going to be like. Apparently it's going to be like the IT Crowd. That style of comedy is almost impossible to do well. And they're shit at writing. Could be fun.
the writers and Mitchell and Webb have said they want to keep doing it as long as they can.
Have you seen Magicians?
when I saw it there was just me and a large lady with a massive tub of popcorn in the cinema. Neither of us laughed for the first hour and then we ended up having a bizarre laugh-off for the rest. She won and was more sincere in her laughter.
we had undoubtedly shared a moment but we left it at that
Everyone is quoting this line at the moment.
whilst drunk at 4am on Sunday morning i was told this, so put on Fri's episode and realised that every episode this series Mark and Jez haven't got on, every other series they have at least 2 episodes where they get on and you know why they are best mates, but this series, they've just been out to get each other and thats why its not the best!
that makes sense
i reckon the series is going to end with a big bust up. the way they both drag eachother down is getting more and more spiteful and malicious.
i'm still enjoying it. 5 series would be a nice round number though.
