Anyone ever worked in a factory?

prole-art-threat [Edit] [Delete] 14:45, 27 May '08

I mean some of 'us' must have - during 'the holidays' I worked in a factory that made trolleys for Sainsbury's and a cheese factory that made 'Cathedral City' cheddar - both jobs were ineffably dreary and I worked with some shockingly awful people who did at least share with me some wonderful insights into life, though they thought I was 'on drugs' as I'm quite 'dark under the eye', and also gay because I have/had long eyelashes LIKE A GURL and wore bangles. Whoops. Anyway anyone 'else' work in a factory?

Ian curtis once said that 'working in a factory is great because you can daydream all week about what records you will buy at the weekend' - this quote sent me into paroxysms of romantic glee though the reality of it when coming home stinking of cheese having been called 'gayer druggy' all day. Thanks Ian, who incidentally was a civil servant.
