Stealthy [Edit] [Delete] 10:30, 26 May '08

Today is a bank holiday. But it wasn't always thus. In an effort to give the masses a break and allow them to appreciate the best of the Spring sunshine, Prime Minister James Callahan deleted the previously movable Whitsun holiday and replaced it with a more stationary version located in the last week in May.

Unfortunately, his plan hasn't been entirely successful: Out of the 40 bank holidays we've had, 27 have seen a dounpour. The mini monsoon I'm looking at now would make it 28, making the Spring bank holiday 70% rainy.
