to do 25 a day and 50 sit-ups, but then, as always with these things, I one day thought 'this is stupid' and never got back into the routine.

I started out struggling (really, really struggling) to manage 10. Now I've moved up to 15. Give it another week and I think I'll move onto 20. When I can do 25 relatively comfortably then I'll probably stop increasing.
I'm amazed at how much firmer my arm muscles are already, but then I'm not used to having muscle at all...
it made me larf!
Aslo 25 pressups is enough especially if you put your arms really close to each other...feel the burn
I mean, I've never really been physically fit at all, but I tried to run after some friends and after less than a minute I was leaning against a wall and feeling like I was about to faint. And I'm a pretty slim-built guy, but I never *do* anything, so I have no muscle mass.
Of course, this new-found fitness enthusiasm will only last another couple of weeks before I get bored and decided I've earned a "break."

when it comes to physical exercise like this. I can just keep on going and going. Very good stamina.

the girls didn't have to do it, but being the competitive fool that i was(am)... i did them as well.
I do about 25-30 now. not on my knuckles though..
i was doing two reps of thirty every morning, on my knuckles! that's right... ON MY MELONFARMING KNUCKLES!!!
but now i'm a big chubby wuss.

Cos i used to do knuckle press ups on hard floors when I was younger too...I did used to be able to do sets of 100....I have gone dramatically downhill...ps I have smashed a bit off my right middle knuckle so its much smaller than the left one now....its what happens if you hit hard objects sometimes and youre not Uma Thurman
when i was younger and that's where i picked up the knuckle technique.
they also tried to make us do it on one thumb, one finger and then finally just our thumbs which was physically impossible.
but im a shadow of my former self now. damn smoking!
