and is it really going on till 3? cos that's so uncool.
and yes indeed! I am doing between the bands though. They finish by 12.30 I think.
are you coming to this next Monday? http://drownedinsound.com/event/view/34662
Telepathe = amazingly ace. plus we've got a VJ in to project pretty pictures against the back wall as they play and make it all atmospheric. I saw this at the venue last Wednesday and it looked awesome!
If I'm not in too much of a state after dot to dot.
*whispers* I don't really like what I've heard of telepathe so far though. I can be convinced however.
I think live it'll make much more sense - and we've got these visuals in especially so it'll be a real AV treat!
plus I'm moving house soon and giving away loads of old CDs - there'll be a cardboard box near the SNES full of 'em.
it's all about the ridiculous bass.
I don't have tickets, so hopefully there will be some on the door. Is it likely to sell out?
there's like 40 left on wegottickets so you should be fine paying on the door, that's what i'm planning on doing anyway
I'm still going to get there early-ish.
I HAVE TO BE SURE.
jonny foreigner aren't on until like 10:45!!!
why is this gig so late?
Won't somebody think of the grown ups who have work early tomorrow?
seeing as it is exam season.
Aren't there another band on before Jonny Foreigner? Hmm.
Pygmy Globetrotters are on at 9.45.
Pretty sure the late times are a venue rather than promoter thing...
i don't think i have been bombarded with advertisements enough for this gig though
I don't have time.
i live behind DQ, i've been watching johnny foreigner wandering about and unloading their van from my window for the last hour!
you'll make me feel guilty.
I had a friend who live round that way in first year and never worked out what was what.
directly behind DQ...there's some Unite accommodation in the block that Corporation/Dev Cat is in, and Victoria Halls are over the road from that
i've got a feeling my friend was in the dev cat ones.
But what do I care they knocked down my halls without even a second thought, good old Earnshaw *sigh*
Must be nice to live off the green though.
the picker, the knicker or the shit-kicker?
If any good samiritans want to take pity and talk to the loser standing solo at the bar, I shall buy them a pint.
That was fun. Nice work Children For Breakfast, good gig. Decent enough venue, too.
And it was nice to meat you Harru.
It wasn't very fun at half 6 in the morning today though.
Are we going on Monday? It's my BIRTHDAY.
It was someone else's last time. What a happy coincidence. Any requests?
so that everyone thinks I'm young.
I'll bet it wasn't. Carlsberg gives really quite nasty hangovers.
On Monday: Asahi is the answer.
was when the mae shi put a big sheet over everyone and played underneath it
He picked up someone else's drink and had the mucky dregs at the bottom. Gross.
Really enjoyed the gig though, didn't stay for the club night, hope I didn't miss anything funny.
... was watching them dance to their own intro music. they then went on to, quite literally, get a party started. fun times.
