Favourite Cereal

As you can see i am bored shitless at work today. Got no work on at all so i'm just gonna sit on DiS all day yaaaaaay!

Anyway, i buy a different cereal everytime i run out. At the moment i have 'All-Bran Bran Flakes' and i'm not really enjoying them to be honest. My list of faves is:

1. Kellogs Crunch Nut Clusters
2. Kellogs Crunch Nut Cornflakes
3. Kellogs Cornflakes
4. Kellogs Frosties
5. Weetabix

Anyone else?

  i always thought ash ketchum's name should have been ash ketchup. that would have been better.
  
  also nesquik cereal rules. because then you can say 'oh my god! its raining nesquik cereal!' in a liverpudlian accent like in the adverts.

    ash ketchup would have been a good name. raisin splits were good because you could sing the song off the advert whilst eating them as was crunchy nut cornflakes for the same reason

      My mum buys it so....I quite like it with sultanas in it plus I can't eat all the junk I used to. I remember the days of frantically stirring the coco pops to turn the milk brown, marvelling at the cod science of it all.
      
      I mostly ignore breakfast cereals in favour of tea and toast/biscuits. I'm also trying to cut down on coffee, cappucino is one of my vices though :(

        Well there's alot of cereals I can't eat due to wheat intolerance. ALPEN IS GOOD FOR YOU, Cinnamon Graham's pah! It's as bad as eating frosty lucky charms, magically delicious? mmm tooth rot.

        It's actually bad practice to clean your teeth immediately after eating a lot of sugar, despite how much you think it would be good. You should leave around an hour. And Oral Health experts recommend that you clean your teeth before breakfast (or when you get out of bed) for maximum effect, rather than after.

        Its true. The sugar softens the stuff on your teeth, so if you brush straight afterwards your just scrubbing aweay the enamel, or somthing like that.
        
        My favourites rice krispies, although i don't really eat cereal. I hate sweet cerial ike frosties too. Toast all the way!

Clusters. Clusters rule.

Although my diet is permitting me from eating them right now. But one day, I shall once again enjoy a wonderful nutty bowl of clusters. And I can't wait.

      I used to like Clusters a lot. The only problem was I would always try and eat all the clusters as soon as I opened the packet, so the first couple of bowls were mostly clusters but the last couple were just the flakes and were nowhere near as nice.

        Ask Jules, i am truly terrified of Mushrooms. If i am preparing our lunch and she wants mushrooms, then she has to prepare them herself... i won't even touch them.

        I hate mushrooms.
        
        How can people eat them? They spawn from mould and filth, it's like eating pure rot and mould and skank. Just nasty....

        If you tasted my garlic mushroom omlette you would change your mind. A sprinkle of pepper, bit of daddies sauce, PHOOOWRR!!!Then the omlette carefully grilled for a few minutes, and served with fresh coffee. You would be in heaven. Seriously.
        Yes garlic for breakfast, why not?!
        
        Ohh, I also nominate cheese on toast with a slice of Fern Britton.

        Actually my latest breakfasty snack discovery is chopped fresh fruit, mixed nuts, and sultanas, with a load of natural yogurt on top, and a swirl of locally produced honey (it's good for hay fever if it's local stuff).

        Mixing is where it's at.
        
        Mix some Rice Krispies in with Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. Use about 1 part Rice Krispies to 2 part Crunchy Nut. Works a treat.
        
        That said, muesli is my preferred choice at the moment. With extra hazelnuts.

        Ooo, now THERE is an idea. Remember those 'serving suggestion' ideas on the side of the Weetabix box, showing Weetabixes (plural?) in different states of being? There was always one with cream cheese and strawberries on it.
        
        I suggest:
        
        *Weetabix with bisto. Filling alternative to Gregg's Steak Bakes.
        *Weetabix with duck liver pate. For dinner parties.
        *Weetabix with nutella. For 3am, after a pub/club jaunt.

        Mesa Sunrise

        I have fruit and fibre, it is cheap and cheerful.
        
        Special occassions it's Clusters all the way though.
        
        On the topic of mixing cereals..NO, NEVER..it is wrong and generally means it is the bottom of the packet, you are eating wheaty or sugary soggy dust urghurghurgh

        I love Rice Krispies, they are the only cereal I actually like. has to be kellogs too! I eat them every day, was gutted on holiday cos we couldn't find a shop that sold them so I had to do without for 10 days!
