there IS a MASSIVE difference.
I feel SO much better after that.
I may fall asl.......
in like a nano second. that there'd be lust, innit..
while we're being SERIOUS as well!
i want a wa..
The is no brain involved in love, it comes from the heart <3
had it not been for your wise and truly original words i'd never have known.
it was much less aimed at someone of your apparent calibre, and more towards those who believe in love at first sight. obviously.
the people who believe they have experienced love at first sight are wrong? there's no way it can be? it is always ALWAYS just lust? how would anyone else but the person who experiences it, know?
but i guess it's all about your views in life in general - see below for my reasoning.
it's like picking best friends, really, isn't it. you couldn't POSSIBLY meet a new person and decide there and then that you will love this person as a friend forever, it takes time!
but sometimes there will be some kind of attraction that's not purely physical (or very physical at all) so can't be described as pure lust, but it's something different and love might not be the correct term for it in many cases, but sometimes it's a lot more accurate than lust. other times of course it's the other way around.
there ARE certain people that you meet through life, and you just KNOW you're destined to be more than acquaintances. The few best friends that I have were like this. I met a girl this weekend that I kinda felt that with as well - sometimes you just know, I agree with that. But falling in love is something totally different - hence the term falling, I guess.
but it's often not so easy to be sure which one you're having...
if you've NEVER had ANY sort of communication with someone before...like it's literally the very first time you've ever known of their existence, i really don't see how you can be in love with them. If you know nothing about them - I mean, they could be 100% pleasing to your eye, but may turn out to be a mass murderer...or worse. A CRAINE fan.
But some people believe otherwise and it's all about what the individual feels.
and i guess if you are the superficial type who bases everything on looks and materialistic things alone, then yes, love at first sight is more than possible...it probably happens frequently.
*is personally both cynical and a knob*
I see it more as a venn diagram.....you know like say love is Blue shape, Lust is red shape, when they intersect the colour of the new shared shape is purple......I think its probably ideal to be in the most vivid area of purple shade .
this thread wasn't done in all seriousness, tbh.
Lust can totally turn into love - and when you truly love someone (in that manner), you generally lust after them as well! I just don't think it's possible to fall in love withing a matter of seconds/hours after knowing of a persons existence. I keep refferring to it as "knowing of someones existence" because I believe that when you fall in love, you fall in love with a person - their personality, their quirks, etc....not just how they look. How can you possibly know all that without ever having been in contact with them before?! Does that not make sense?
IS THAT COMFORT'S MORE RELIABLE AND TRUE
the marketing department of a leading fabric softener?
there's a thread that can't be improved by quoting RICHEY EDWARDS VERSE IN CAPITALS.
that when i see an attractive girl and my willy goes all funny that it is probably lust and not love as I had previously thought.
materialistic/superficial enough then. all those girls that you could be in love with, but NO!! you let your head rule you're willy!
MY head HURTS now EMMI!
maybe you need MORE sleep??!!
i am pretty tired :(
i didn't even pick up on it when you pointed it out :(
"you are willy". oops...hahah.
I'm pretty sure I fell in love in the library about an hour ago. With someone I haven't spoken to obviously :D
