Going to SNOWDONIA soon.
Have heard it's nice.
get the train to the summit, its well worth it, especially if its a bit foggy
Walk to the summit - much more rewarding, and can be quite easy if you take the Miners Track. For a proper shit scary ascent to the top, take the Crib Goch route. 1000ft drop straight down, about 10 ft wide ridge.
Also, visit Cwm Idwal, a truly spectacular Glacial Corrie / Cirque a few miles from Snowdon
Eat a meal at Y Bistro Restaurant in Llanberis as well (if your trip is a special occasion. A lovely meal
its quite high.
it's just REALLY NEAR
nasty peaks I'm tellin ya ! Take the Llanberis Lake railway, thats nice, check out Betws-Y-Coed for picturesqueness.
and about 3ft of snow. It was properly crazy and i felt like a true mountaineer with my expensive equipment and crampons...until we passed a group of 15 years from a North london basketball team, wearing nothing but their tracksuits and trainers (most with Tescos carrier bags wrapped around to protect them).
They were supposed to be on a teambuilding exercise, but moral seemed to be at an all time low when we passed them; slipping all over the place and swearing alot. Whoever took them up there like that must have been an idiot. It was bloody dangerous and we later saw the rescue chopper flying overhead. Crazy!
Oh and walk it up and get the train back down if you're really that lazy.
There are some DOPE castles too?
what they called?
Beddgelert - beautiful village at the foot of snowdon at the end of the aberglaslyn pass.
Go to see electric mountain at Dinorwic(a massive power station hollowed out from an old slate quarry) then get the train from Llanberis to the top of snowdon, walk down to Rhyd Ddu and catch the other train (welsh highland) to caernarfon to see the castle.
Go crabbing at aberdyfi, see Harlech castle, go canyoneering at Barmouth, mountain biking, whitewater rafting at Llyn Cellyn (near Bala)
could go on forever, been there so many times, love the place.
That's only for wheezy Americans in baseball caps wearing block colours and kids having tantrums. Trek it and be higher than anyone in England and Wales the legitimate and worthwhile way! Also, check out Tryfan, that's a beast of a mountain if you're into scrambling and precarious rocky outcrops.
he may well be an american.
it's dope, plus it'll be full of flyers for stuff happening in Bangor and at Hendre Hall in Tal-y-bont if you're looking for any sort of nightlife whilst you're there.
once prank called one of their other mates telling them they were from the Welsh Space Agency and how they'd like him to go on their trip to Mars. The rocket takes off from Snowdonia because it's closer to the sky and uses less fuel. They asked if he could come attend a training camp.
He said he'd have to ask his mum
we took a totally rock and roll three day relaxation break in the middle in the north of Snowdonia in a little village called Llanbedr-y-Cennin. It was nice. We saw a bird that looked like a duck, chicken, and turkey at the same time. We assumed it must be some sort of goose.
i meant to go to that and say snowdonia.
if you're there on tuesday, go to see jeremy warmsley play in Bangor.
but yeah, there's not a lot there apart from prettiness. bangor pier is very long.
It's set..The 'Downia ftw
We can go to DUBLIN for the day
how snick is Wales?!
i think its more expensive than that
