Oh come on. This is pretty silly. If Boris is still in an electable position come 2012 he will (against all appearances so far) have proved he's doing at least a competent job as Mayor, so we should just see how the policies of the canditates stack up and experience a 'normal' election again.

Or else he'll have been a nightmare but amazingly people will still be clearly right behind him and there's really very little you can do about that sort of thing.

Either way, let's not seek to stoke up another political personality farce, please. Jeez.
