I naturally gravitated towards the few souls who did though.
Which reminds me I haven't seen Rhys for ages. Rhys and me wrote the greatest comic-book ever.
It was called the Andrew vs Hulk adventures.
One character was a Nazi Poo called Adolf Shitler.
they like really shit music, invariably.
if only that was the case...only know one "indie girl" and she's such a hipster it's actually a bit intolerable.
Maybe this'll change at university... where it'll probably be exactly the same just on a grander scale.
i'm at uni and still the people i go to gigs with are from DiS.
people do like music, but loads of them are really self righteously 'indier than thou' so i don't really like them all that much
I adore 2 Hearts.

in all fairness i wouldn't mind this one getting broken.
I prefer my red head theory. and there really isn't any way around that one being sexist.
Apart from me and all other girls on here obv.
Seriously though, it's not anything unusual, but it's rubbish. Even at uni I feel like I'm the minority whenever I go to a gig/walk into a record store :(
Actually the MusicSoc boys and girls are pretty ok, even if they have a fetish for electro which I cannot understand.
i almost went to the edinburgh one once, but i got the impression that they were all OBSESSED with idlewild and that scared me a bit so i never went back :(
but more towards the metal end of the spectrum. It was all about heavy rock and nothing else, and in the words of a friend of mine 'attracted the kind of characters that even mothers would have struggled to love'.
But this year it's been good, there's been some real diversity involved and they've been really active in getting the society publicised as well as providing some good events and a good network for bands and that.
York Uni Indie Society. We tried to make new people really welcome, but just remained a massive, inpenetrable clique with out own sayings that no one else got...
