many months of not washing my hair.
then i decided to use conditioner but not shampoo. this didnt work. but i sure did it for ages!
HEY YOU! JOIN THE NAVY!
pretty much every festival. I always try my best to stay clean to a point even then, but the less you think about it the better ;o)
i hate it. i shower daily otherwise.
I shower rather than bathe.
four days (leeds fest)
i spent a considerable amount of time when unemployed not allowing anyone to see me. this included rarely bathing. i probably shouldn't have brought it up at all. let's talk about something else. i really like kittens!
i don't see the irony. point it out!!
kittens are fantastic. ours just turned two. obviously they are not actually kittens anymore, but you know. when they were, in the morning, when i was up before all the other people, i would take them out of their cage (we kept them in a big dog kennel at night at first, you know, when they were still very small) and put one in each big pocket of my robe (open-like, obv) while i walked about the house. the boy would just curl up and go to sleep there. he's too big now though. t-t-t-tangent.
that is, not my robe
but thank you for that story, it was the best ting i have read in a while, but really not good for my "i want a kitten so much and have done for ten years and every two years the urge becomes overwhelming but this time there is no-one to tell me i can't get one but it is still not very practical for me to have one so i have to be strong" feelings.
if it helps, that same adorable kitten once, in a later "cat emergency", ran over my face as i was laid out on the couch, using it launchpad-style and leaving me with a cluster of scratches that took weeks to heal. and a tiny scar, but it's hardly visible and also right at the edge of my current (*very* attractive) dark circles, so you totally can't see it. still, the point stands.
plus cats are so independent, they're easy.
now you guys have me missing ours. they live in the suburbs with my mom. i ask how they're doing whenever i call, and then she tells me, and then i'm like "oh i miss them so much! oh, and you guys too." i'm not a horrible daughter/sister, but i can talk to my mom and sis over the phone, you know?
also, don't let certain board users see this or they will become infatuated; you are actually clearly like the twee dream girl or something.
i shower every day. i once went on a four day backpacking trip though and didn't shower that whole time, but did go swimming (even thought the water was fucking freeeezing). i still hated it though. i can't deal with not having a shower every day. city girl, me. (otherwise i love the wilderness though.) wow, unnecessarily long answer, check.
i'm not ashamed. i'm hygenic now!
When I was in Namibia. We would just go for a swim to get clean. Didn't wash any clothes properly either.
but i do shower every day.
Though there may have been a swim in a lake.
I've just realised this sounds like something from the 1950s now.
