Music Social More…

some short poems i wrote when i couldn't sleep last night....

ronslunchbox [Edit] [Delete] 17:27, 30 April '08

The laugh of the tick,
As you wrestle the clock.
The night growing thick,
As you wait for the tock.

------------

Blank ceiling stares,
Shifting positions break silence
you dreamed of before.

------------------

I will to be a sky lark,
Lying here restless,
Willing thoughts clear and stop
One by one,
Laid out to consider
When morning breaks
And i shall be awake
Still,
For i am an owl,
And looking round
At the others singing,
I am not part of this chorus.

-------------

With dark long since settled,
Light forced long,
Retreating to corners,
Shadows shining now,
I lie,
Sure that as dreams take this day,
And the dark has its way,
I’ll play no part,
For in a moment
I will inhale deeply the morning,
Eyes to bow to the sun, so serene
And I gaze long to dream I will seize it.
