Why does everone who doesn't do drugs asume that people that do are either stupid for doing so or have problems?

Can't anyone accept that some people take recreational drugs because they simply want to despite thwe damage it can do to them.

It comes down to a lifestyle choice, it's up to the individual, why are so many people judgemental?
