What are your favourite places to drink in London?
I can't go to Old Blue Last alllll the time....
Old Blue for longer than 5 minutes deserves applause.
Red Lion - Hoxton Square
Retro Bar - Charing Cross
Monkey Chews - Camden
The George and Dragon - Shoreditch
George - Dalston
Doghouse - Kennington
I think we've mentioned this before. Good place to sit outside in the summertime anyway.
several Sunday afternoons there, it's great.
Bunker - Covent Garden
Enterprise - Camden
Devonshire - Earls Court
Gordon's - Embankment
i thought the rosemary&branch was lame when it 'went gay'!
new cross pubs that win are -
New Cross Inn circa 2001
Goldsmiths Tavern circa 2001
i now prefer the Marquis.
i deemed it a 'drama hang out' and so never went in.
i LOVED the pound a drink tuesdays. we went every week. :)
If in Covent Garden, it's all about the Lamb and Flag
and whenever I visit we drink in a pub on Kelburn road, maybe red lion or something like that. I really enjoy drinking in there.
The Palm Tree - Mile End
The Britannia - Mile End
Cittie of Yorke - Holborn
Princess Louise - Holborn
Bradley's - Tottenham Court Rd
The Foundry - Old St
The Barley Mow - Old St
The John Snow - Soho
Betsy Trotwood - Clerkenwell
Captain Kidd - Wapping
best pub in London. Great landlord, well preserved and I think its a camra pub of the year too.
the foundry...but yeah it can be a little sad sometimes. If OLB is wannabe then foundry is nevergonnabe.
I lived here last year, and never saw those pubs...where are they?
is on the canal between mile end road and victoria park. i want to go, i've heard it's good.
The Betsey Trotwood since some good people took over and Filthys in Angel. Fitzroy Tavern is alright too as it's cheap for central London
and the bricklayers arms nearby too. cant go wrong with samuel smiths brewery pubs!
and bottled ales are all rather lovely though. The Alpine lager at best resembles Carlsberg although i am prone to a glass of the pure brewed stuff every now and again
It is refered to as "Meeting Room 3"
that place with the hiLOLrious speaking voice people? that was the funny place
the worm lady was on.
Uncle Sam's - Dalston before it got renovated and shit
The Crobar - Soho (mainly when they have rubbish live thrash bands)
The Rose - London Bridge
Used to like the Foundry but not so much the last few times I have been there
has it changed then? Haven't been in a few months
The Pineapple - Kentish Town
and maybe Royal George - Charing Cross Road but it's a bit shit now.
down the road from the Boogaloo...I'm not so sure about it though. Why do you like it? Maybe I'm missing its good points.
good decor, good music, good people, open late, excellent duke box.
live in Highgate?
Quinn's in Kentish Town
I'm too scared to go in, it looks like a prime spot for a stabbing to me
Full of weird booze.
Keep 'em coming!
cross keys - covent gardens
lonsdale - ladroke grove
the george - chiswick
on commercial street
Jerusalem Tavern, Clerkenwell
Thanks guys :)
