Ultimate Value buys at supermarkets
So, being a student an' that, I tend to spend a lot of time looking for cheap food in supermarkets. And I want to now what your favourite bargains are, so I can investigate them too.
I love the fact that Sainsbury's make awesome tortilla chips for 18p, and pitta bread for 26p. Similarly their 59p strawberry jam tastes ace. Their Turkey breasts at 1.49 for two also clock in pretty high on the taste/value index. And 1.49 for four chunky courgettes is something I'll never say no to. All the meat and fish in Morrison's is amazing value as well- their butcher's stuff is fresher and cheaper than anywhere. I got some ace lamb steaks for about 1.50 last time I was in there.
So, what are your favourite food bargains?
