Is this sensible?

I've been offered a job there and I'm contemplating it at the moment.

I used to love the city when I was 17/18/19, but that was largely down to the incredible skateboarding that the city offered which is no longer relevant now that I'm 28 and have destroyed my body.

So, is it a city on the up? Is there a Cardiff style urban renewal under way?

On a more basic level, where are good places to live for young people on a reasonable, but by no means yuppyesque salary?
