Ok, so everyone knows that we should all give a little to charity but, with so many out there, it's often hard to know where to turn!

What's the best charity to give to? I like some of those third-world ones, but get worried when they start to get a bit religious (see Cristianaid). Is Africa rlevant to me?

The environmental ones can get a bit extreme sometimes, and i'm not sure that they always think things through (i think that my dad was once targeted by Friends of the Earth)

I don't mind giving money to buskers, but they're providing a service, so it's not really charity. Shelter seem fairly sound don't they?

How about a political party? There's more to political activity than just voting you know!

Or maybe charity begins at home, and some of us need to sort ourselves out before we save the world. After all, how does all that money even get used? Probably a load of bally bureaucracy!
