I think my dad is having a midlife crisis

Gaemblor [Edit] [Delete] 19:27, 18 April '08

I opened my email today to find a delightful message from my dad explaining he'd purchased a new car. This was nothing surprising as he'd be considering it for a while now. He had attached a picture of his new wheels. I opened it to find this:

Ahhh! He's spent £20,000 on a bloody sports car! Classic mid life crisis behavior. He told me he was going to buy a Lexus. I thought he was only test driving an MX-5 for a laugh. I think hitting 50 has taken his toll on him and this is his way to get back at the world. How do I treat him at this fragile time? Do you have any experiences with relatives having mid life crises? Should I stop complaining and just get driven around in my dad's fancy new car?
