the 'right thing' ?
a good deed is it's own reward
if it's that much money, I would feel so guilty for the rest of my life.....
4) split between 2 & 3?
I'm going for 4 I think.
but i think i could live with the guilt
What's that film with Billy Bob Thornton and 'Hudson' (er, Michael something) when they find all them spends in an aeroplane?
Maybe this chap saw that.
pretty good film. very fargo/coen brothers influenced. which probably explans the post about "no country for old men" a wee bit further down the thread.
$140,000 dollars are lost then someone is likely to report it and if your found with it you could get in all sorts of problems.
the idea is not to get caught duh! The bills are unmarked. Dont tell anyone and just wait a while before spending it.
to keep something you find?
still regarded as stealing. The is no law to say someone has to protect their property so if they choose to store it on the street the only people who can take it are the police or someone who is going to give it to the police as lost. If you hand it in and it isn't claimed then it will be given to you after a certain period I think though this may be TV lies.
I would have probably kept it
I rest my case.
you can hardly take it along to your bank, nor can you go and buy a house and pay with cash. It'd have to live under your bed, with you cramming as much as possible into your wallet every morning
salary into your savings account each month and pay for everything in cash, would be alright!
and launder it. Then place money in bank. score.
Or just start a business and use the money to buy your own stock or something. Tonnes of ways to hide it.
instinct says to keep a bit and hand the rest in, but if $160,000 is reported missing/stolen and you hand $140,000 in, Questions will be asked...i'd hand it in
then dump the bag for someone else to find. It will then be their moral dilemma
