First scorecard here:
i was giving some thought to going to the MCC vs Sussex game at Lords this weekend but the weather looks absolutely dire. ho hum.
as to the roses game, chapple on good form as always - good to see : )
all day in this weather.
I have no idea why really.
and are worshipper at the Altar of Fred.
But I merely speculate.
I went to watch a Kent vs Surrey pre-season friendly for some inexplicable reason a few years ago. I can't remember the exact temperature but Alex Tudor was bowling in a wooly hat.
this time last year it was sublime. people were swimming in the goddamn sea!
but yeah, i guess we're looking at a more conventional summer this year. aside from the snow..
One year we'll actually win the county championship
my Worcestershire season ticket at the weekend. Bring on lazy days sitting at kidderminster. (New Road will undoubtedly be underwater for 70% of the summer)
Quite looking forward to watching simon jones work his way back to fitness
after New Road's flooding? Surely that much water will lead to a subcontinetal ditch? No good for his 278.56 county average that.
anyone fancy taking part in a DIS league in the Telegraph Fantasy Cricket game?
well i cant access the game from work because the bastards somehow regard it as gambling. the link's below though and i'll start a DIS league this evening.
the most crucial question i can see is whether or not to back ramprakash again. can he really do it 3 seasons in a row?
there's a DIS league setup!
if you know anyone else who might want in then drop them an email : )
i've not gone with ramprakash yet, but then i did the same thing last year and rapidly changed my mind. that said, a duck to a 19 middlesex seamer isn't a great way to start the season. surrey still won though, so all's well...
decent stat coverage for 3 months of a fairly complex game is worth £6..
this isn't football, where half the players do nothing of statistical interest for 90% of the game ; )
Todays play has been rained off!
it wasn't snow this time...
