Less than a month now. I'm not buying it on the first day of release (this is what I've told myself anyway), but I won't be able to hold out for too long I'd imagine.
So there's lots of hands-on reports of it now:
And maybe the most exciting thing is the idea of it playing like a 'proper' shooter while on foot, rather than a hamfisted clusterfuck like everything up to (and probably including San Andreas). It's funny, the worlds of the previous games have just never felt right when you're out of a vehicle and in close confines. We'll see if this one is any different.
Pathetically, you know the kind of thing I find really exciting, in a full-on geekcentric way? Stuff like getting out of a car while the radio is on, and hearing it still blaring away in the background as you walk away. I'm going to drive out to a quiet area at nighttime, put on the country station, leave the doors open and pretend to sit on the hood of the car listening to music while watching the stars.
The punch a prostitute to death.
