and MouthofSaurons has some great insights:
"This is much more entertaining than a boring still image.." (compliments you wish you never received?)
"you spare ALOT of dollars by watching this instead of traveling all that way!"
The video for A Beach, A Flag, A Doctrine is all my work.
The videos for:
A Lurking Fear
This Room Spins
were all scripted and intially assembled by me, but the final cuts a very much a group effort of the band all those involved in each video.
The video for But It's Home is based on a load of ideas we had as a band and was cut together by Joe.
is a great video !
How much time to do it ?
Did you really have to burn a lego ?( it's criminal ! )
And it took a while. But was filmed in so many short sections I'm not sure of the actual time taken at all. Maybe 24 hours total?
this is mine:
that'll work too.
But it's not a possibility at this time :(
but really, you don't have to.
there was plenty enough to do what with directing the goddamn thing! kinda co-produced too, though i didn't take that credit.
j/k - cheers very much! :)
To me it displays the very real possibility of a cold world where everyone is afraid.
but yeah the isolation and detachment of the modern world shown is pretty grim. It's nice in that it enables you to reflect on this and maybe make people think on it abit themselves. I'm just being really inarticulate today. Agh.
which is interesting. the end is supposed to be a very warm and emotionally-fulfilling moment, but indeed, it's a depressing world.
it is a definite comment on society, but it's both positive and negative in what manny gets out of it (don't like to spoil it), and how we take such things for granted.
liking the ending. Nice work :)
and thanks for saying so.
for my college course. It'll be my first.
I've made animations before, but they weren't very developed.
best of luck with it - hope you post the results!
trying to make a cows heart beat. Stressful indeed..
my first short film was about youth movies' first gig...
however. it was back in the day when my university could only afford analogue editing. (2002)
however...don hertzfeldt is your dad.
one of my favourite animators.
'My anus is bleeding.'
i just make abominations
in the middle of making a short animated film! I suppose I'm not technically making it, but I came up with the idea and I've written the story. My cousin's boyfriend in Toronto is dealing with the actual design and sends me drawings based on the suggestions I make, then I send them back and then he sends more, etc. This process has been going on for ages but hopefully we'll have it done by the end of the year. Its about a boy with a magical pair of scissors who falls in love with a fish.
is an example of the kind of stuff he can do http://tinyurl.com/29kkcx ..Im obviously very lucky that my cousin has such great taste in men!
