Of course I'm a massive pulp fan etc blah have got Freaks on vinyl and even the Peel Sessions from 1981 but really listening to him today on some blah on Radio4 just made me think about how 'professional' he is in terms of 'eeeeh I'm jooost dead local dialect me even though I've lived in Loondon and Pareees since 1988, appen' - I'm not saying he should be totally RP but there's something really annoying about him and this is one of them, along with his 'everyman' art persona.
