Enticing East London living advice

jonny_rat [Edit] [Delete] 11:08, 2 April '08

I guess I am pretty much going to have to move come June/July. Fucksocks.

Now, not to give my life story, or owt, but a little background. Maybe you guys can give me a little advice on what I should be expecting for my budget, ahead of doing the whole gumtree/moveflat thing. I live right by Bethnal green tube station at the moment, but the prospect of the central line has been persuading me to take the walk over to livepool street most days to pick up the metropolitan line. I love this; I love the walk (bit long though), and the trains are so quiet. So I'd like to keep doing this if possible. Question is, if I move any closer to liverpool street is that going to drive prices up beyond all imagining?

I pay about 500 squid a month all in at the moment, for a tiny room (albeit a 'double;' the bed takes up most of the space). If I went any further west, possibly in the streets near brick lane, is that still reasonable? Am I going to have to let a swarthy landlord sex me once a week for that kind of money? (I'd just rather know in advance.) Any other ideas? Whitechapel perhaps.

I hate moving. Loveachoo!
