The lovely Mancunian promoters Jamboree are putting on a really rather fantastic gig at the Klondyke Bowls club, Levenshulme on April 10th.

On the bill are:

The Container Drivers - a former-Fall tribute act and purveyors of fine music.

Mrs Cakehead - who are mental

Jam on Bread - who is utm_usic playing ukulele and moaning that he's not from Sweden by Grimsby.

The Shrieking Violets - boy-girl, fingerpicked anti-folk blues, made by RockNRollMassacre and his mad friend Nat, who have supported the illustrious British Sea Power twice.

It all looks rather fun, and the Klondyke is easily one of the weirdest venues in Manchester, always full of bemused, middle aged men, drinking bitter and trying to play snooker whilst strange noises come out the back room.
