who (aside from the obvious) is going to go to this tonight?? or are you against gay? (get it!!?)
but I heard Cats In Paris on Lard's show on Friday and proudly announced to my friend "I know these guys!". I then downgraded this to "Well, I know the drummer". And then "Well, he posts on DiS and so do I."
ANOTHER PROUD MOMENT FOR ME
i say i know him but all i mean is that i hide under his bed.
why aren't you going to the gig? is there something wrong with you?
It's my major flaw*
That's an interesting one though - there's probably people that post on here that I know more about than people I see quite often in real life, yet I'd only ever say that I 'know' the real life people and not the internet people. Unless they become the same thing, which happens surprisingly often.
but I seem to take a bizarre pride in any DiS band that I like when they crop up on my non-DiS radar. Examples being:
- you on the radio
- Bobby Grindrod on teletext
- Paul Hawkins et al in the Guide
purely to rub it in to Ted that I beat him at badminton last week. him and his Suicide t-shirt went down hard! 11-9 I think it was in the end.
Apparently there are bands too.
Its totally noise.
I dunno, who else plays then? Who's the best Burnst badmintoner? Burnst V Cats In Paris: who wins? I bring the McEnroe aggro (difficult to believe, perhaps) to our games.
no, there ain't no burnstminton action. i can actually only think of rob and katie and they're boyfriend and girlfriend so they only count as one.
i'm just over-reacting
I could beat Burnst at Badminton single-handedly. Dan'd be a little difficult to lob, but other than that I expect Ed would just wander off mid-game after losing interest and Ste would just keep getting the shuttlecock caught in his beard.
but i know you're right :(
