ha look at them implode :D
a player got sent off for harrassing the ref. Hopefully the ref in the chelsea game does the same.
Just says 2nd bookable here. I'm assuming dissent for the second one.
Liverpool won the free kick but for some reason Alonso got into an argument with the ref and got booked, at which Mascherano ran half the width of the pitch to carry on. And then he continued arguing with Benitez, the coach, Gerrard, the fourth official, anyone else he could find.
My favourite ever caution I dished out was for dissent. Goalkeeper was harranging me for every fucking decision since I pulled a yellow on him for a foul some 20 minutes earlier.
At an opportune moment whilst he was whinging about a corner at his end, I told him if he said one more word to me, it'd be his last on the field that afternoon.
"Sorrrrrryyyyyyyy" he said.
He got his 2nd yellow. Muahahaha.
God, I miss refereeing.
I doubt anyone else has a "favourite yellow card". What a nob.
that Premiership referees probably think the same way that scares me
Guaranteed one moment per season where you just end up willing some fucker to "earn" himself a second yellow.
from 10 to 17, when I was 15. It was for handball in the box. I was playing as sweeper (those were the days!) for Sutton Utd under 16s in the first round of the cup against some team who played on a farm in Surrey and we were winning 9-0, i'd just scored the ninth goal (it was like that Maradona goal where he ran from the halfway line, seriously), and I guess everyone had gone to sleep a bit. Anyway this guy broke through our centre backs and I went in for a sliding challenge, and at point blank range the guy took a shot, and it hit my arm and went over the bar.
The ref gave a penalty, ran over to me, and got out his cards. I was totally perplexed as while I knew it had hit my arm, I didn't think he'd ever actually give a penalty, let alone a booking. I was all John McEnroe "you cannot be serious" and his response was "I know you probably didn't mean to do it, but the ball would have gone in otherwise, so I had to give it". He showed me the yellow card, which in our league meant a £10 fine and a one match ban. He went on "You're lucky I'm not sending you off". We were 9-0 up!! It was accidental!!!! Needless to say we appealed and won. The best bit though was that they scored, and celebrated like crazy.
There's a totally needless little Easter Sunday story for you there.
definitely should have been sent off the other night. Some players would've been off for just the tackle never mind his petulant cuntish response.
on Earth can you claim what Torres did was harrasing the referee? Shocking yellow card...and then for Mascherano to come over and ask "What's happening?" and be sent off for it is shambolic...neither player was aggressive or abusive in any way...fair enough Mascherano has been stupid enough to get involved but to send a player off for that when you have the captain of our national side getting away with what he does it's just pathetic...
Which is a yellow card offence, so it's not exactly "what's happening", is it? Mascherano should've just fucked off and let the ref do his job.
all you can see him saying on the replays...the booking of Torres was the big mistake
moaning about every decision and then runs across the pitch to start going on at the ref again. The ref had enough. I dont see how anyone can say it wasnt a sending off.
i just had this discussion with a liverpool fan. Mascherano is a fucking twat running over like that and giving lip to the ref... its just common sense that you are gonna get sent off for it.
Running over the whole pitch and shouting at the ref isnt gonna change anything, its about time players got a yellow for this.
at the start of the season i really thought liverpool would be challenging this year
To go up and harass the ref about 3 days after a big crackdown on arguing was announced... And then to completely lose it afterwards... Idiot, really.
And now Andy Gray is saying it was undeserved. TWAT.
I ended up agreeing with Gray. It was the referee who was being the reactive twat.
Still hope Terry gets sent off today.
22 players survive that game I will be shocked
you know you are in the wrong.
it was at least the third time he'd berated the referee. Bennett was spot on.
From the sky sports live score commentary thing...
"36 - Bad luck Barrie: Liverpool fan Barrie sent Rooney and Ronaldo pies for Easter to slow them down. Unfortunately they have not had the desired effect and your boys now face a huge task to get back into the game. Can they come from behind and salvage something here?"
anyone explain to me why Jamie Carragher ddn't receive a yellow card for screaming at the referee?
exactly what I said to me mum
vile player. I'm an Evertonian, and so I think its expected to dislike the RS, but he is just the most average, dirty player who probably sucks off Clatternberg and the rest of the red tinted refs to ensure his wrong doings get overlooked.
I hope it sets the benchmark and isn't just a mini reaction to the Cole thing the other night
Good god what a chance for Liverpool just then.
Which is a bit poor considering the RS only really have 2 players. Torres and Gerrard. The 300 billion spent on bit part players is a bit excessive in my humble opinion :D
It's a rout :D
we want 10.
we want 10.
we're never going to get 4th now.
