Following on from the 'it's not bloody updating thread', it's finally recognised a song I played 58 minutes ago, when I've had music on pretty much for the last 20 hours.

Sorry. I do know it's free software and all that jazz and I appreciate it, but I get frustrated with things that don't work, specially when it just seems to be broken for me and nobody else!
