Can't remember what got me thinking about this but whenever I meet someone who claims to be a Pagan, or somone whose white & British but claims to believe in an obscure branch of Islam or Taoism or something similar I always find them somewhat pretentious and feel they're trying too hard to be different.

Is this an unfair prejudice on my parrt of is there truth in my feelings on this?
