And thusly is Apple crowned "Brand Stealthy Is Most Loyal To".
I never thought that would happen.
do you mean, spend the most money on, and get the most frustrated when the bastard 'made to break' pieces of poo break?
I like their computers, using one at the minute, but I've never been a huge fan of the iPod. Lovely looking, good to use but a bit short on features and rather fragile.
an excessive amount of music that warrants 4 ipods?
Everything I own breaks. iPods are no different.
Hell, the only difference between now and the rest of my life is that I've bought a new one within days of the old one breaking, therefore avoiding what I like to call the Period Of Impotent Fury.
it has been unending pain.
I hear you. I've actually had to hear the announcements on the tube for two days running. I ALWAYS KNOW WHERE I AM!
Further greatness: At the exact moment my iPod broke, my headphones did also. I was so amazed (and inebriated) I actually forgot to get angry.
Anyway, I'm trying something new - rather than buy new headphones, I'm going to repair these. Because they're badass and I want to keep them. I ordered a replacement jack and a solder kit. All I need is a continuity tester and some wire strippers - which I must have somewhere, and we can get this shit sorted! [grunts Tim 'Toolman' Taylor style]
I thought it was going be terrible but it has been over a year now and I almost prefer it. Means I can read etc on the tube which is more enjoyable I find and a good test of how pissed I am on the way home. The only time I miss it slightly is when I go on one of my contemplative walks if I'm feeling down. The combination of music, rain and a good walk is pretty much the perfect way for me to think through problems. Maybe the light electric shocks I could be getting from my headphones are sorting my brain out. Darn now I've thought about it I want one again...
Mine functions as a good temporary MP3 player.
Only one of them has broken as a result of my own lack of care. I'm surprised I'm not angrier to be honest
Yeah. I'm not even surprised about this last one. I dropped it the day I bought it and kept doing so. I'm susprised it lasted as long as it did.
i should really get a warranty for mine.
I always think this - but then I think "nah, just buy it cheap on Ebay and get really angry when it goes dead 18 months later".
So, yeah, my new iPod was really cheap! Only ordered it Sunday, too!
So far it's still going. I guess it's about to die.
I'm on my third, and the two previous ones both lasted for a few years, so I'm not complaining. (And I only paid for one of them myself.)
I usually upgrade, but since the ipod touch only comes with a measly half a megabyte of memory or something, I just went for the video iPod that I had before. They're called Classic now though, which is mildly amusing.
stood on my first one at the playing fields. The resulting inverted screen actualy looked cool until it went kaputt.
I got a new one for my birthday though :D
even if the warranty runs out, if the product didnt last a long enough time to be satisfactory for your money (which i wouldnt say a year was for £170 or whateer they are) then the company have to replace/fix it.
It's in the law, somewhere.
What have you named it?
It's got a ring to it.
The same ring.
unless you show them some love, Tunde.
You know how I feel on these matters.
for nearly 3 years now. it's done me proud.
over 2 years now, its still going, used it almost every day since i've had it, dropped it countless of times onto concrete.
It's a warrior of a gadget
which lasted four years with me and was second hand when i got it. the hard-drive finaly gave up the ghost when some fat tosser jumped on my bag which only had my ipod in it. would never trust any of the new ones. my friends have had bad experiences.
I'm looking at getting a new nano, as it's going to cost 70 quid (at least) to fix my malfunctioning and near dead Sony NWAplayer thingy, and it's also run out of room. So I'm gonna cut my losses and force myself to just change music around...
