What's your favourite penny sweet? Mine would either be jazzies or maybe a fizzy bluebottle.
but I do concur on the Jazzies.
The wee pink pig ones
Aye, and the milk bottles.
I'm heading down to the shop tomorrow to gets me a pile of them!
i'm gonna make a gummy turtle army and it's gonna take over the world.
Haven't had them! Cherries and lips yes, but no turtles.
they are incredible. i'll attempt to find a picture on the internet...
kind of like this but not filled with things.
mmm. but now i'm veggie i'm not even sure i can have them. haven't checked yet.
I'm veg and can't have them either. I thought liquorice would be a no-go too now, but there is some that's gelatine free!
not the black stuff, ick ick ick. but maybe i can find some sweets... hmmm.
I had cold medicine a few weeks back that tasted of it. Needless to say I continued having it after I was better haha.
And what flavours can you get then?
apple... loads more too! yummm
Although i think my favourite shrimps and milk bottles are all gooooooood!
Damn, i feel a sweetie craving coming on... and its a long walk to the shop :(
FTW (basically also one of the few penny candies i know of)
Although I think they were 2p. Can they count anyhow? I used to like aniseed balls too, I think.
But I'd always get coconut mushrooms instead of penny mixes.
It always weirds me out when I see little kids buying chocolate bars and stuff. Like, I think penny / jar sweets were all I had until I was ten or whatever. ...And I suddenly feel like I'm out of a Milly-Molly-Mandy story.
I bought penny sweets from a corner shop...it felt good. Little kids are missing out.
I did find it slightly offensive when the lady behind the counter asked me how many I had, but still proceeded to count them out in front of me to check. If i was going to steal extra then I wouldn't put them in with the rest would I?!
hub is the corner shop down the road and the guy is amazingly trustworthy - he will ALWAYS take your word for it when you quote the price of the bag.
one time my brother had a bag the size of his head and claimed it was worth 60p, while in truth it was nearer the £3 mark and the guy believed him. i love the pic n mix man.
Milk bottles too
And Laser Bars...but they were 3p
Fizzy blue bottles
Those strawberrys you get in woolies.
YUM YUM YUM
y'know, the haribo ones? i love them
But the ultimate jelly-type sweet is the M&S Percy Pig
