I'm apparently going to be In Town.
I still don't know what I'm doing in London though. I know we're going to Borough Market but appart from that I know diddly.
so it'd be cool to do something fun and see the nice people.
i really dont know. im busy during the day. no idea what im doing at night. maybe afterskool? maybe totally not?
that could be a possibility.
were talking about going there anyway!
and we r free!
mini fact: the clientele have a song called losing haringey
it's on holloway road.
Big Red fact: Adie wanted to hear our song 'Big Red' until I informed her it had nothing to do with that pub :D
hot goth barmaids
actually has some character
shows bull fighting on the TV screens
(near my flat)
I mean compared to some locals. Though now I think about it the only good pub near your flat isn't that special...
Bull Fighting? Um...I'd rather not watch that.
all tufnell park boasts is the boston arms (no way), a tapas bar (no way) and the pineapple (nice, but i wouldn't go there out of choice).
they also showed extreme snowboarding tho :D
Junction Tavern. It has a really cool solarium with pool table out the back and does its own little real ale festivals.
never been in there though!
what is Big Red?
on the corner of my road, the one that looks a bit Wild West/strip club ish. Allegedly it's good and not scary!
it's like an americana-themed goth bar that sells finnish cider and has stooges and johnny cash records on the jukebox.
I'm in favour of any pub two minutes from my house in which I won't get stabbed! The Swimmer is nice too, but pretty expensive.
non-locals aren't supposed to know about the swimmer.
I actually now what you're on about. It's right near Sophie Squirrel's flat yes?
next door to that carpet shop.
it looks totally ridiculous!
It was one of the chain pubs anyway.
BUT BE WARNED - when they say jalapeno and salasa burger, they mean that the burger itself is made from 100g of mince and 400g of jalapenos
salasa. its a special superbrand of salsa.
deserves more credit.
is on the wonderful picadilly line.
come out of the tube, turn right, walk for 8 minutes, go in pub.
and see at least one other pub in either direction. I have often considered a Holloway Road pub crawl, but for some of the really shit pubs you'd end up drinking in.
you'd have to start in that pub on the corner of holloway road and archway road. that wouldn't be fun. it's always looked like a Violence pub, and it now does cheque cashing...
I'm going to do a one-man crawl of the place. I'm gonna make some interesting friends.
The green lanes pub crawl was one of the best nights of my life.
Holloway Road from Archway
Borough High Street from Elephant
we are going from oxford street to kilburn.
The first part will be mostly crawling
That's how you have to talk about these things. It's 'the Holloway Road'. :D
is pronounced like 'thee'
It has a Waitrose and a strip club. I've walked past that Big Red place, it looks quite exciting.
Maybe it's new. Waitrose used to be a John Lewis store (called Jones Brothers but identical) and in those days the Argos was a biggish Sainsbury's and Argos was on Seven Sisters Road.
We even had a Woolworths there.
the strip club is down towards the islington end i think
up near the Arsenal stadium as well. It's a hotbed of olive hummous and degradation, is Holloway Road.
They've built a new Tesco Metro by my girlfriend's flat though - winner.
So kind of in the middle.
and you'd be in there on your third drink...
Big red it is.
but i have to go to a fighting with wire video shoot so i don't think i can now. bah!
Somewhere around Shoreditch...
taking photos and being a nusiance and stealing food if there is any. it's being shot here: http://www.33portlandplace.com/
Can I stay at someone's flat? I'm off the booze, so no vomming on yr furniture.
This Big Red place sounds ace.
I'm thinking Rota and then wherever the crowd goes. There's 'DJ Derek' on at notting hill arts club after rota. Apparently his jamaican patois defies his bristolian roots. I'm thinking me and Joe should revise our ATP reggae moments.
(North North London)
which I may or may not go to.
It's all about Death Cigarettes and Ezra Bang at the Enterprise.
i fully endorse Big Red.
there is a jukebox
me and rob will be really drunk tho. as it'll be after the ireland/wales game.
This seems to be how most people think I operate these days anyway.
She can spend my non-existent money for me as well.
at the big red please?
so I might be there.
i need information on the definite plan.
now that I know your number again.
in big red?
