new albums for usually under £6, worth waiting a bit longer for them to arrive.
plus amazon marketplace.
if I'm in a hurry. i-tunes. generally because people give me vouchers so i am in credit. woo!
but things take their time to arrive
(Not my fault at all!)
As I was saying...
I get the majority of mine from second hand record shops and Fopp. I buy the odd CD online and occasionally buy form itunes if there is a particular song I want, but aren't fussed about the album.
Where do you get yours, legal or otherwise?
Also, Amazon is annoying me (see Amazon thread) and ebay often sell me copies, despite stating them as new and authentic, are there any other web-sites that sell a wide range of music cheaply?
it's great. caiman_usa ftw
but now most of the mainstream release from Amazon market place.
I have to get all my CDs online. I usually just shop around and use price comparison sites, but Play.com, Amazon and HMV are good for most things and somewhere like Norman Records for rarer stuff.
I do use eBay, but with caution. I have got some very good CDs off there for cheap though, so it can be worth it.
Dancing Jesus, iTunes, or direct from the various band/label's website if so inclined to own a tangible copy.
Unless it's Xmas Shopping, then Amazon or Play all the way.
Sometimes Fopp or HMV if I'm out and about.
On rare occasions I will download a song off of iTunes if I really, really want it or want the free song they have on single of the week.
I sometimes use Hype Machine.
to be honest, most of the albums i buy now, i get from a small used record store in town. alot cheaper, and the over counter banter is better.
i should probably use ebay or something but if i want a cd i'm too impatient to wait if i could just go out and buy it
FNAC (big French record store) if i'm impatient
Rough Trade East, if i'm in the London office, and get a chance to visit
Oldest record shop IN THE WORLD, very cool. There's a good second hand shop as well that I get some stuff from, or if I'm after something really obscure I get it from eil.com
mainly though some of the shops have gone down hill there a bit recently. Odd thing from amazon and eBay also.
I think the one on Park Street.
a lot of the major ones seem to have opened up again.
And they're as good/cheap as ever. :)
the odd bash on 'senuti' till i realised it included everything in their playcounts on my last fm charts, thusly fall out boy is now no. 4 in my overall charts.
