cos i'm like, here now. anyone fancy drinking in a public house or something? it's been a long week.
Let's do it. I need something to do before I go out serenading chicks with 80s power ballads coming out of boomboxes.
I need to get me a boombox.
this smug face
Sure. I need a wingman to look out for her dad while I do my thing. He doesn't like folks interfering with princess...
Two's up on princess?
i dont know any pubs.
thus someone else basically needs to pick one. and sort it all out. pls.
let me think where he'll pick... let me think....... HMMM. you know, i'm not too sure. let me think.... hmmmmmmmmm
I found out that it was NOT actually a coffee house.
"Excuse me sir, you can't come in. You do appear to be a miscreant and we have a brand promise to maintain"
and doesn't have sport on please. Yay? Yay.
I'm trying to give her a learning, honest. It's just taking longer than I thought.
There's no sport on there, unless you count a bunch of clowns endangering the bar staff with their wayward darts.
Any opinion you have on anything is moo.
if sports is the want, i spose the coffee house is ok as otherwise... SPORTS BAR!
i prefer 'the cock' to the red lion. by miles.
i wish i didn't have to type that sentence.
We already know how much you love the cock.
but a different Sam Smiths is all good by me. Princess Louise is open again?
Or, let's go to the Coffee House and watch Bolton play Reading before switching over to a minor tennis tournament.
and what time eh? EH?
Meet in that hideous Wetherspoon's at Elephant and then DRUNKEN WANDER to London Bridge.
Although maybe not this weekend. I'm skint. Or maybe we should? Or maybe not. I might just stay in and knock one off.
i basically want to just sit on a fake red velvet chair thing and drink.
i live in barons court. are there any decent non-incredibly expensive pubs round here (ie not east end) that dissers have met up at before? just curious.
cos no one except you and JJ lives down there. sorry!
travel to a real place and drink there?
none of the pubs we're talking about are in the east end....
they're in the West End.
not my west end. ooh suit you etc.
that wasnt even good. i'm too tired to make even passable innuendo.
just cos you live in london now don't mean you know diddly squat
sarah's lived in london for about seven years now and she still knows fuck all!
there is the intention to have a good old game of football at Finsbury Park at 12:30. I don't know where that thread is.
I made it!
Seriously. Its the most overrated pub in the world.
But seriously, I could name 835 pubs better than the coffee house.
AND it's expensive.
I don't dislike it, I just feel its a bit, y'know, meh.
The salisbury shits all over the coffee house.
but it doesn't show sport. Which in a way would make the Salibury worse as it's patrons would be worse...
The Salisbury needs decent cider on tap as well. Great food there though.
The Coffee House isn't bad as there aren't many places in Soho which show sport and Soho is a nice central location for everyone to meet up. Unlike the Salisbury.
is not technically a great pub
but there was more to that.
it offers everything I want from a pub on a Saturday afternoon and the number of great days/nights I've had in there put it up there at the very top of great pub lists.
There are better pubs, yeah. But as a central meeting point with sport and staff who I know and get on with and bonkers decor and a signed Kiss guitar and a debate about whether the poster in the gents is a bum or a boob and the place I had my last cigarette indoors and watched the darts and have laughed so hard so often, it can't be beat.
You had your last cigarette indoors, I got called a Nazi by some fuckwit with a camera because I objected to him and his mate taking photos of us from three feet away. Good times.
It's a fairly standard pub. I think my judgement's affected by the fact that I've never been in there and had anything less than a brilliant time.
I have many fond memories from the place. Chilli springs to mind.
I'm not necessarily of the same opinion, I just wanted to slander Steven Gerrard
pls? go on. someone be a man and deicide.
when i'm not here. that's MEAN.
Must be all the anabolic steroids
well, at least when I'm there, anyway. Which will be after tea, not silly o clock like you lot.
up New Oxford st.
doesn't show sport though, and doesn't cater as much for larger groups of people.
though i do like their Wedges.
WE'LL GO HERE THEN
4pm Coffee House
8pm Princess Louise
it's all en route.
i dunno if i'll come.
time. i guess i'll have to adjust or something.
if thats what he has to adjust; his pub entrance time
My finest 5 and a half minutes on this earth
at about 7:30/8. if no one comes then i hate you all forever. i'm going home now. bye!
princess louise tomorrow
be on your best behaviourofl?
allowed to come?
incidentally, i discovered a good pub within our part of london, which is a rare find. The Colton Arms on Greyhound Rd ... smallest, oldest pub I think i've ever been in. So, if you like that sort of thing you can do what I do and go and get hammered on your own.
really? i havent seen a pub down there. i'll have a look on the way home.
and will be a busy weekend so will give it a miss this time
I'm sure I'll see you at some point tomorrow.
i'm going home.
I have my blazer ready.
