Will this be safe to use on my face?
The stuff I have says it needs to be left overnight to cure, but I was thinking that if I paint it on and leave it for a while, it might be strong enought to peel off and then leave overnight to solidify properly. I know you can buy liquid latex specifically for using on your body, but I imagine that's a lot more expensive..
Don't do that. Make some kind of mould of your face FIRST and then try the secondary latex bit.
I have to say, that this is possibly one of the most imaginative threads I've read in about a year, so good work to you.
that someone died from doing that. but im not 100%...
Ive dashed quite a few dreams on dis this week.
I was going to do it tonight, but dying doesn't sound all that appealing. I'll ask at the place I bought it tommorrow I think..
put Vaseline on your face beforehand, otherwise it might be quite painful. I've had a plaster cast of my face done I had to fashion some cones out of cardboard to put in my nostrils so I could breathe...you could maybe do a plaster cast of your face first then do a latex cast of the plaster cast.
But I wanted to take some photos during the process of my face covered in latex. I could probably put it on after it's made though, I suppose.
I sculpted my head out of clay, then made a mould of that in plaster and cast it in concrete, so I was going to make latex masks from that as well.
I wonder if there's some other kind of plastic that will work. Wht's that stuff they use to make prosthetic faces on TV and stuff?
but I'd imagine it's quite expensive.
Why is everything so expensive? :(
if you want any left afterwards
but i could be wrong
so I'm going to do it tonight. :)
