or considering studying?
very very closely
English Lit/Cultural Criticism, but not sure if I'm going to bother with English Lit next year (am in my first year now). Also doing a bit of Welsh on the side cause I needed the credits.
ever. ever ever. school is stupid. pretty much.
would beat most anyone on here - incredibly harsh.....
to 'the education system fucked me around big time'.
Definitely didn't fail.....
is it's official name, art is what I call it.
if im luck I might get a job in stats!
I fucking hate it
it's really not as dull as you might think.
But I mostly seem to do just music-type stuff.
Engineering but I'm switching to some sort of English/lingustics type thing. I've concluded I'd rather live on loan that keep on working is the main reason. Yummy debt.
it will be spanish, history, PPE, linguistics, or if i'm being pragmatic, computing.
In Divinity. Sounds well interesting.
But y'know... no time/money/motivation.
Well, I was. Now I am studying Creative Writing and Journalism using my mates notes.
Hopefully, come September.
but dropped out and am now studying Music Promotion
Print & part radio
quite a heavy combination you've got there, you're braver than me
St Andrews, Edinburgh, Stirling or Glasgow?
I went to Strath, but I lived in the west end. It made me :( everytime I had to leave the West end for the Centre.
with a minor in my belly button.
I'm thinking of transfering what credits I can into a psychiatric nursing program. I've done two years thus far in a general studies program and received a social science certificate (not sure what good it does but at least it shows I didn't sit on my ass after highschool).
japanese. which i want to actual study. i think i probably can for free, too, due to employment issues. so i'll go with that.
at birmingham conservatoire.
English Literature/History 16th cent/Spanish
Im doing that at uni next year
Sorry, its hard to stay brilliant sometimes.
I find that funny and I'm not even sure why.
(which actualy has a realy good venue in form of the railway inn). I dont know why this is important, but its something to say.
Have you been there? My band used to play there only, like, all the time.
my friend has though and apparently its amazing amazing amazing.
with some really nice in-house promoters who loved my old band to bits. I miss it greatly.
where you gonna go then?
(to the tune of USA! USA)
no cardiff and no stalking tom for you ;)
now what am I going to do for the next 2 years? :(
which stands for?
It's proper awesome here (well, 'there;' I'm not there now, obviously). I'm postgrad, so I don't really get the full experience, but it would have been an amazing, amazing place to do my first degree.
this sounds amazing. Where do you study?
Journalism with Creative Writing
but i do some modules in history too
(sort of like A levels but quite a bit harder, apparently)
And i'm going to Edinburgh in september to do a joint honours in Philosophy and French. It's gonna be WIKKID
even the clever kids at my college dont do advanced extension.
Pros - Sexy accent, Smarter than everyone
Cons - Obesity, racism, knives
Seems a fair enough deal
belle & sebastian, haggis, free uni
Cons: a rugby team that is considerably worse than England.
i want in.
At least, not until you get to about 48 and decide it would be ever so quaint to own a cottage in Uptermuchty.
I did a couple.
or possibly switch in a different language. but i'm thinking i won't now, and will just do a general language major and take just a few philosophy classes.
it's awesome. especially as everyone in my house appears to despie their course!
at UCE Birmingham and it FUCKING SUCKS.
at glasgow uni, its pretty alright, the west end is also very good and there some nice people around!!
they made us draw lots of maps by hand :(
but we got to go on a week long piss up to York :)
next year, bar disaster.
Should be proper well mint lyk.
at UoB's Geography dept
With a little bit of Spanish mixed as well in the form of extra credits.
Gonna do some Dutch next year though, before spending a semester at Amsterdam University :)
I also got to write an essay about my favourite band.
I win. :D
there's a band for you.
Philosophy all A Levels.
Studying foundation art and design next year.
after I get my A levels.
I'm pretty disillusioned with education, seems a bit shit? Maybe, I dunno.
or two is a good idea.
i'm only going to uni so I can get cheap rent for a while, meet people, cheap booze and deals on stuff.
and because i'm to lazy to think of anything else
Its great though, especially if you've got a student radio show or whatever and you meet people you can play music/plan as yet unrealized clubnights with.
Not that I actually mentioned anything by its genuine name.
'Death To Music' on fusefm by the way folks.
Clubnight, 'Unthank is Glasgow' coming soon.
Band as yet unnamed.
I AM THE MASTER OF INTER-THREAD JAGS.
I mean I like it a lot.
But not enough to found relationships upon and talk about and stuff.
On another note my brother's got a student radio thing for you bristolians the recommendation on monday 2-4.30 it's pretty entertaining and it features my brother - an older less cool version of myself.
don't want you to listen to whatever craptacular show's on after his.
with a "cha" before that "millionaire".
you either need a 'Murder' or a 'Griff' instead of that 'kitsch'.
I keep on wishing I'd put a 'Zenawi' after that 'Meles' instead of that SECOND FUCKING MELES.
I would cry if you got rid of that Kitsch, you'd be like, a different person
but up until now (end of my third year) i havent had to do a whole lot!
currently 'Early modern english witchcraft' which is top notch and 'Italy and the mediterranean from constantine to the crusades' which is about as far from top notch as humanly possible
some publishing, too.
*crosses fingers for a job upon graduation*
did Microbiology at Glasgow
but not in my time, I left in '03
No exams. Lovely.
realy study anything then...
face it... do you...
I admit it. My existence is a joke. Happy now?? You should be.
and at the moment i'm fascinated by life in Serbia during in the 90s
at warwick. its too hard :(
MORSE or something like that...
At fucking Farnham. I'm thinking about transferring.
and where do you want to transfer to?
There's a measly student's union and a few pubs.
I'm thinking of moving to London, maybe go to Westminster or UCL. Lots to do and I can lose myself in London.
i studied physics with aviation studies at City University in London, which was an amazing course, but the teaching was so poor I dropped out (on a 2:1 no less.) I then downgraded myself to Solent University where I am studying Music Promotion and love it.
in English, History, Media Studies and Politics, but I've dropped out of even that.
I'm planning on doing Music Production and Sound Engineering in September if I'm still living in Glasgow.
Else, I don't think I'll be read for serious academia until I'm in my late 20s.
at QMUL...regret choosing it to be honest, as i've always been the creative type. shouldve done some sort of art thing.
I think studying is pushing it a bit. I am genuinely regretting not doing it on internet addiction.
is also applicable to me
