on the way back from Lightspeed Champion. The gig over ran by 30 minutes or so so I missed the last train back from Newcastle and had to get a taxi which cost 20 moneys. 20 moneys that I should be using for bills and food but now cant :'(
Anyway, you didn't need to know that bit.
The main bit was that the cabbie turned out to be one of the soundest people I have met. He was in his late 40s and we had a conversation all the way home about how he's taken loads of drugs and how I used to toke a bit back in the day and how it's all brilliant and how his elderly mother got stoned once in Holland and danced on a table and told him it [weed] made her horny. We also spoke about his plans to move to Spain and how more people should travel, but not to the touristy bits of countries, and see the real places and people.
It was generally a very well spent £20 and a very nice finish to a very average evening.
Anybody else had similar experiences with cabbies? Or any 'randomer' for that matter?
