That's nice. Round the back of the Overground station.
Seriously though, the Spread Eagle is nice.
its perfect. its just a place to meet
Meths is a normal man and that means that when asks for a 'nice pub' he means somewhere populated with a sprinkling of old ale drinkers, relaxed guys and feeling of a 'local'.
Not some coked-up demon hole full of stripey t-shirts and loud wankers.
It was the local pub of the guy who wrote Withnail and I!
I'M WEARING A STRIPY T-SHIRT.
I LVOE CAPS TODAY!
is a bit rubbish.
My uncle and aunt use to run it in the early eighties. It used to be painted bright red and be caleld the Pembroke Castle. The upstairs room was the living room still - it wasn't part of the pub. A view out the back across railway tracks to the blighted Roundhouse (finally up and running after gawd knows how long) and Primrose Hill Station used to be there just over the bridge...
That one next to Delancy Street's good.. the Goose or summat?
