is not funny.
I'm not expecting many, if anyone at all, to agree with me.
Alan Partrdige is really funny though.
And so is Tony Wilson in the documentary '24 Hour Party People'.
And 'A Cock And Bull Story' is great, can't remember who's in it though.
It isn't allowed, is it?
I haven't had any post in ages.
Me- Steve Coogan is not funny
You- I agree
WHERE DID I MENTION ALAN PARTRIDGE, 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE OR A COCK AND BULL STORY, YOU MASSIVE TWAT?
Seriously, the capital letter thing was inspired
This one's shit.
if you were capable of actually being funny
out of someone who isn't a Coogan fan? I know, list loads of things he's been in, the person who doesn't like Coogan will definitely, DEFINITELY get the link!
stephn fry is probably somewhere in it as well
series 1. Is possibly the greatest series of comedy ever made.
who says such Cartesian dualist observations as (when referring to his sports car) that it's 'paid for itself in fanny'
I think Alan Partridge if funny but its not really a sole creation of his now is it, so collectively its almost brilliant
STOP BEING ON EVERYTHING YOU POCKMARKED WELSH NON-FUNNYMAN
Marion & Geoff FTW
and fairish hair he's on some comedy panel shows and does tv heaven telly hell
If it is him and his name is spelt like that
I like him loads
in fact most people on these panel programme are fucking shit. bill bailey JUST FUCK OFF.
who does the panel shows too
I hate him
I want to kill him
He's Ebenezer Good!
and he's great.
he's my fave at the moment
It'll change your life. Serious.
is the unfunniest comedian ever to get on a stage
of course the other writers play a part but the whole thing with Alan is that it basically IS Steve Coogan. That's why it works so well and why he can't get away from it
the bitter failure of this character is wonderful to watch but yes,yes how much of is it really Coogan seeing everything else he did is pretty average isn't it?
he was born to play Alan Partridge (or something). Every aspect of his performance is just incredible. Outside of that he should just be put in a cryogenic chamber at the bottom of the north , for all our sakes.
I like "bottom of the north" better. Buried six miles down on the Yorkshire Moors.
the day today completely sucks
but as prole said, the man is a waanker, so ii don't have any further points to make
toy shop owner.
Alan Davies - he's a wife beater as well isn't he?
Don't mind Sean Locke but he's probably a geek favourite so that puts me off, like someone breaking wind when youre eating something your not a big fan of but feel obliged to
Oh I hate them all really.
I like his voice
who was that cypriot/greek character he used to do? shit, that's who.
but he does end up in funny roles in funny tv/programmes and things, being funny.
see: 24 hour party people, the parole officer (it's like ealing studios never died, and moved with the times!) etc
and not funny when not in character or as any other character outside of Alan Partridge (Calf has a few moments).
BUT Knowing me radio shows, TV series and first series of I'm Alan Partridge are all amazing and I think the peak of British comedy or possibly world culture through history.
Even the second series of saxondale was pretty good.
Been in a lot of rubbish though.
you only find Coogan funny if you are a person of limited intelligence.
what a person of moderate to high intelligence should find funny
told over a glass of sherry?
hilarious. especially when you come from norwich and know everything he's talking about!
parole officer anyone?
really like the knob he plays in Cock n Bull Story. Good performance, but is he just playing himself?
See also his short in Coffee and Cigarettes. That's hilarious
which is by all accounts the high-water-mark of human creative endeavor to date. better still than shakespeare or dude where's my car
plus i made a retarded typo in that last post 'did created', what kind of a spaz does that make me look like?
