Takes two minutes to make and is well nice.

I tried it on its own and after all its hype i was very dissapointed. Much prefer some "proper" sandwhich ham off the market
The glory of Parma Ham lies in the fact you can cane it in the oven for 45 minutes wrapped around something at 200c and it doesn't burn! Much better than bacon which adds needless fat and a lack of taste to the cooking procedure.
What you wanna do - buy thighs. Mix together loads Philadelphia and Pesto and stuff it all under the thigh skin till it's about to burst. "But, GOML, this will go EVERYWHERE in the oven...". Not a chance. Wrap each thigh in 2 slices of parma ham - slam in the oven for 40 minutes and it stays together perfectly. Flawless cooking, cheap too and not a poncey vegetable in sight...
favourite foods. I'm a big fan in general of all flesh cured, smoked, rare or just raw!
