Moving from 'The Country' to 'The City'.

wrightylew [Edit] [Delete] 23:28, 6 February '08

Getting home from Manchester last Saturday was the first time I'd ever experienced relief at being back in my home town.

At the moment, I'm really fond of the fact my front street is a country lane, and that I can wander down to a beautiful picturesque river and forest down the lane whenever the weather's nice.

And so I've decided I might miss it. I never thought I'd say that, but the idea of being out of the way of scum and general city fuss is becoming really attractive.

For people who moved from rural areas to live in cities, do you ever miss the lovely English countryside and long to move back? What about people who've never lived there? Do you ever want to reside in the 'side (H) or is the city always going to be your home?
