A definitive independent film classic, influential and entertaining in equal measure. Comic book style action, some riveting character interaction and sly darkly humorous digs at consumerism, amongst other things. A slow burner perhaps, it takes awhile for them to find the mall, but well worth your time if you like zombies, late 70s cult action cinema ala John Carpenter or horror in general.
