It's Deadline Day!!!!! Keep up-to-date with all the overhyped, overpriced transfers of Premier League reserve 'stars' and 19 year-old keepers from Mansfield and Rochdale on the BBC site. Early news shows that Matthew Bates has gone on loan from Middlesbrough to Norwich until the end of April. That's it.

Capello names his first England squad today. Rumours abound about who will be in and who won't. Dave Kitson being the one to get the most-raised-eyebrow award from myself.
Last night saw Liverpool drop to seventh in the table, and a lot of people laugh accordingly. Apparently they're trying to get a fans consortium together to buy out the Yanks as well. 100,000 people needed, to pay £5,000 each. It's a lot more money involved than when Chesterfield and Lincoln did it, that's for sure. I await to see whether it's in any way feasible.
Ronaldo scored another cracking free-kick against Pompey, and United then played for an hour like it was a training match. Reading lost for the fifth time in a row in the Premier League thanks to a Micky Ballack penalty, and Man City continue their little stutter by only getting a point at Pride Park.
In Africa, Eto'o became the all-time leading scorer in the African Nations Cup. Fair play to him.
