Well, in September, providing I actually pass this year, I'm meant to be jetting off to foreign parts for a year...

I'm a French and Italian student but started Italian from scratch - They prefer it if you go to the country where you're less experienced in the language but to be honest, despite the fact that Italy is amazing and I would *love* to go, I feel I would be happier and settle better in France due to being more confident in the language and in all honesty knowing more about it...

Ideally I'd love to go to Paris - I'm obsessed with the place and yet I've never been, but understand it would be much more expensive.

I've decided that I'd rather work as I'm a rubbish student in the UK, let alone being taught in a foreign language.

One of my tutors knows vaguely of my plans but I need to enquire further - in the meantime though has anyone done a year abroad? Lived in Paris, or any other French city/town they can recommend? And if anyone has any connections through work or otherwise with anyone in Paris/France, I'd be intrigued to know.
