I'm pretty pissed of with mine right now. Here's what happened:
I used it endlessly until the battery ran out so I plugged it in to charge it. I gave it a good four hours until it was fully charged. I then decided I wanted to put some new music on it so I plugged it in to my wee laptop to do this and it decided it needed to be updated. So, being the good man that I am, I let it do it's thing.
My iPod is now updated, hurrah!
Then I went to fire some new music onto it but it won't let me. It tells me the iPod is malfunctioning so disconnect and reconnect and see if it's better. it appears to be.
But no, it's not. It won't let me copy songs over and since it has been disconnected the computer won't recognise it. Dammit!
Now it's in an endless loop of:
* turning on
* apple logo
* clicking noise (sounds like the harddrive)
* turning off
So what do I do? I can't get it out of this loop. I can't plug it in to restore it.
What a little bastard.
Any one got any ideas on how to fix it?
