I'll let someone else do the quote. x
:D :D :D :D :D
i actually looked in a games workshop yesterday, well it was more of a glance as i strolled past, i was looking pretty rocking, listening to my 5ive cd on my cd walkman. i spent the next few moments pondering the people who work in there, as they looked like fat metellers and it filled my heart with joy and a sense of perhaps i should get a job i ike rather than one where i get paid as much as possible, then i thought screw that, i'm gonna be here forever.
which is fine. But they smelly bad :(
i feel like singing some 5ive. but as the world has become far more PC since the days of the band, i feel i should alter the lyrics somewhat.
everybody get up, and such.
5ive will make you get down, if that's what you feel like doing. we're not saying you have to, its merely a suggestion.
to work in a Games Workshop. Sitting around all day listening to metal, painting models and moving some figures around a board? Yeah, sounded pretty sweet to me.
(The sad truth is, I still want to work there.) :(
that's the dream, but you need a pony tail and a massive belly first
You've just described my friend James, who incidently, applied for a job at Games Workshop when he was at Uni and got the post but had to turn it down in the end.
if he was working there now, I'd have got him to ask someone the quote.
Ghazkull Mag Uruk Thraka driving a minicab talking about the good old days before the rise of online gaming and increase in city centre rental prices.
this one mentions the internet!
what with the rise in city centre rental prices AND struggling to compete with intense competition from internet retailers and supermarkets, I'm surprised they haven't gone under.
doesn't have the same ring to it :(
they took nearly £100m in revenue last year. that's.... staggering.
"In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only ££££££££££!"
that only covers the increasing rental prices in their stores' city centre positions.
havent been to their museum in Nottingham yet. Anyone else up for this?
I used to go when I was 12 and they were so horrible to me. They're the sort of people the rest of the population of the country doesn't even acknowledge, who get off on telling kids like me that my elves aren't painted properly.
