rain and electronics

countzero [Edit] [Delete] 17:17, 16 January '08

So, I've got myself an Akai s1100 sampler. I lugged it from dulwich to angel...took 7 hours altogether...thats another story..but I'll just say..when i asked for the quickest route to dulwich someone should have told me hte thameslink doesnt exist anymore....

anyway the bloke at that met me in dulwich had it in a bag but the front panel was exposed to the rain. I'm thinking that the rain could have gone into the audio sockets at the front.

on the sampler's manual it says in big letters "if exposed to moisture or rain return to dealer".

Is this just a standard warning??

Is three days leaving it in a room good enough to dry the insides if some water did get in?
