Alternative uses for CDs

utm_usic [Edit] [Delete] 43 replies 21:35, 31 May '05
we've all got albums/singles that we regret buying, but all is not lost. surely there's other things you can use your copy of Shed Seven's Greatest Hits for?

i myself am currently using the darkness' album as a coaster.

on the days where I am feeling particularly emo, I like looking at old CD covers, asking myself WHY THE HELL I bought that, and crying..

    nothing beats a good weep

My mate uses his old cd's and videos to hold his surround sound on the wall.

if you glue together cds of the beatles entire back catalogue, and sand off a 90 degree angle, you have yourselve a nice shiny doorstop

    • Re: Alternative uses for CDs

Use them as decoration, take one board, notice stylee. Take unwanted cds and spray paint/decorate them (keep those with decent artwork) then stick them to said notice board and mount on bedroom or living room wall.

Make mobiles! Marcofella could do this for his baby, the conditioning of seeing certain cds everyday will lodge taste in his brain innit.

      Big Earrings! Works for Jlo!

Throw them through the window at boys in hoodies. BAH!

        • Re: Alternative uses for CDs

But that would be a bit pointless, because it's not as if a CD does much physical damage, especially when there is the extra padding of a hoody.

Ah, not if sharphen the edges and then launch them out of somekind of CD launching conception.

Didn't see that one coming didya?

            Sorry.

Honestly, slap some blindfolds on someone, lock them in a dark room and make them listen to the music and it'd probably be banned by the Geneva convention.

The 'Three Compact Discs' a la Demolition Man. Yeh, you wipe your arse with them somehow. Not that they explain it. It's stupid actually, have something which is meant to be amusing or something but don't back it up. So yeh, use the cd's to erm...solve violent crime. I'm just not going to tell you how.

I like to use them as trays to carry tea and biscuit crumbs to my army of miniature robots. They like shiny things. And tea.

I once covered a wall in my kitchen with shit CD's. Stuck them to the wall, shiney side up.

It looked kinda nice and the reflective quality gave the illusion of space.

Honest to God, CDs can be used to scare squirrels away from gardens. My mum does this.

I hate squirells with a passion that I don't think I can fully do justice to on a messageboard. Scare them away with CD's, and just to make sure plant land mines or something, just to make sure, like. And then torch the land

Then apologies to all reformed squirrels. Though reformed squirell makes me think of reformed chicken. What would a McSquirrel Nugget taste like?
