are tideland and brothers grimm worth getting, bearing in mind that i like all his other films?
totally worth getting. the brothers grimm is pretty good but not amazing like tideland. :)
My video lecturer showed us Lost In La Mancha in installments over the last semester and I am pleased to say that we finished watching it yesterday.
Terry Gilliam was very likeable (probably because he looked so confused the whole time) but the documentary did get boring pretty quickly.
make the Don Quixote film.
Lost In La Mancha is a documentary about the Terry's failure to make the Don Quixote film. It was intended to be a "making of..." but it turned into a record of the film falling apart. Fun.
I've heard good things about it. I don't really know anything about Don Quixote though.
and now he is going to try and make it again!
would definitely recommend getting hold of tideland. many people hate it, but i think its brilliant, i got it for christmas. is it still available? i think the uk release has been deleted now...
is very average for Gilliam.
the cinematography especially is beautiful.
and I like Gilliam films. So perhaps I should've seen it. Does it compare favourably?
